Welcome to SBF – Scottish Bus Fleetlists for Major Bus Operators.
Hello – and welcome to Scottish Bus Fleetlists Major Operators. While the Winter 2019 never got to print (following problems with our both our former printing houses in one shot!) but in 2020, here we are! This is an illustrated fleet list which is correct to the PSV Circle News Sheet 970 (November 2020), and were compiled up to Friday 22nd October 2020. This book is home to 4,103 vehicle records showing fleet number, registration, chassis and body numbers, seating, date new, livery, and (where applicable) former registration, last owner, and names... The photo selection is home to 162 photos, over 200 pages, and also includes print at a larger size compared with the standard download file size. An Index to Registrations is also included, with a From The Archives feature showing some Stagecoach “early days” photos from John Sinclair. In previous editions I have also included Minor Operators – for now, these are not included. It is hoped that these might form additional books in the future, once I can get the information correct enough to upload and sell.
This book – for now – is in a brand new look – with a new design and cover layout seeing most of my books with abbreviations like (SBF) and more besides. Since 2019 Stagecoach North Scotland has been split into Bluebird Buses and Highland, with vast swarms of more environmentally buses and coaches. Stagecoach also have a new set of liveries, and also repainted one coach into a retro livery (see Front Cover).
Thanks must go to… Chris Forbes and Tony Hunter for the fleet information (who have been compiling their lists for the public benefit for decades – I tidy them up, find photos and captions, added the Index, sort out bugs, put them online and print them). Also (in addition to Chris), Tails Prower and Willie Brown for the use of their photos (on the printed copies), John Sinclair for the use of the photos from “From The Archives”, and to all of you for your support, and downloads, over the many many years!
